Here is an Exocrine that I just finished. I have been painting Tyranids like this for about a year and a half now. However, this is the FIRST model that I have airbrushed. So it was a little bit of an experiment. I tried to use mainly airbrush but I did use some drybrushing for final details.

The base is flat cork that I cut out in a rough oval shape. I added some pieces on top of that to give it a little bit of depth. The big rock is made of the blue insular foam. It is topped with the black army painter sand and some snow. The snow didn't come out super white, so I went over that with a drybrush.

Please leave comments! I would love a rating from 1-10. 1 being "Lopis, you have seriously over estimated your painting skills." and 10 being "I'd buy that." Or somewhere along those lines. Make your own range!

Thank you Dakka Dakka!

P.S. I apologize for the sub-par photos. I am in no way near a professional and simply used my ipad for the photos. Also rest assured that I am not trying to be a professional painter!

Thanks!

Looking great! Did you find you got more even coverage and blending of colours with the airbrush with less effort?

Love all the detail. Any reason you changed the final lines on the carapace to being more sparse? I know it's time consuming but reckon that even filling in between each stroke with a thin line brings it together.

I'd also recommend using the Dakka Gallery and use the Forum links on each pic to embed images from there into your posts.

Excellent work on the canon. Love the greens.

Get your models on the table and looking good!
