So basically I've started up a trio of bloodcrushers and I've primed black, drybrushed boltgun and then applied a 1:1 mechrite red:tin bitz mix for the armour plates. Leaving the boltgun in all the raised edges (Think Word Bearers).

Now I want to go back over the raised edges with a colour that compliments the red. I know that brass is the colour of Khorne but wanted a bit of insight as to which one to use to compliment a dark rusty old blood red.

Any thoughts would be great.

Well I use Vallejo Old Gold to compliment the deep red I use on my Khorne army.

Looks good so far just doesn't seem bright at all might be the lighting as you said. If it's light you can always make it pop some by recoating it.
