Well, I just finished my first Dread ever. I'm unsure if I should post it here at all with the great works others post here... But since he's finished, he belongs here.
I'm somewhat happy with the outcome, since he marks a milestone for me - first basecoat and highlighting with airbrush and the first successful use of an oil wash (on the green armor parts) AND the first non-bubbly decals too!
Unfortunately, the autocannons I got from Forgeworld were... erhm.. a bit suboptimal to say the least. Bubbles, chipping, deformed... I seriously understand why noone likes Finecast now. After waiting 28 days for the delivery though... *grunts*

I still need to work on my precision (I actually ordered some head magnifiers to help with this) and the usage of the airbrush. I did some stupid mistakes I hope to avoid in the future. And I somehow still struggle with gold colours...

So here is Brother Azurael, fallen in the Battle of Altid 156 299.M38. Feel free to critique, I can take it (I hope)

Fab. Need a pair of these.

For the Lion and Terra!

Because nothing in the galaxy is black and white, Mankind views the Space Marines as a last resort. The last line. When all else fails. They take up the burden. The noble defenders of Mankind. The last hope.

With finecast you can bypass the washing stage and throw them straight into the bin.

Or cut out the middleman and just flush some money down the toilet.

The weapons look good and the main model looks really great certainly see why most Space Marine armies get least one in their army for least visual

Nice work! Love the skull decals and old school feel to the colour scheme.

Get your models on the table and looking good!

Thank you guys

I wanted to break up the rather plain backside of the ammo drums and what fits bitter than 2 skulls for a Mortis Pattern?

Oh and what you consider an old school feel is more likely a (though improving) lack of skill on my part

Out of curiosity, what would be considered a less "old school" paintjob?
