HI!, if you guys where to look at my previous posts and such, you would probably notice a single reoccurring theme: I happen to enjoy coming up with idea's for warhammer 40k, but NEVER seem to finish them. This is rather frustrating to me, because a lot of these ideas are rather bad-A%$, so, I decided to post them here, on their own page, to try and cut back on the madness, and to vent it out of my own mind.
A lot of these ideas are half formed, and are rather crazy, so get over it. I am mostly posting them so that other people can share in the madness, and maybe even get alittle inspired in the process, (also, I would like to hear how people would go about doing these things as a lot of them I have NO idea how I would make them happen.)

So, lets begin!
1) The Rajkutian PDF: This force was gonna be a full company and a half of PDF troopers from a jungle world called Rajkut. The force was gonna be heavily themed on Sikh style indian forces, and have a lot of tiger-stripes, bright colored turbans, and suicide charging, but never got started because I changed my mind and went on too
2) The Roman Guard: These bad boys came to me while I was watching Gladiator and looking at Warlord games romans. Why not have guardsmen in lorica segmentata, armed with carbines and massive plug bayonets for combat, these didn't stick either, sadly, cuz I then had another idea:
3)The Teriyaki Death Korps: The plan was simple, take the torso's and legs from Wargames Factory's samurai/ashigaru range, and combine them with german rifle arms, as well as gasmask british heads, and viola, I have my Death Korp with a karate chop of teriyaki sauce... This one stuck around for AWHILE, but then, I had a new idea:
4) Scottish Guard: This is my current pet project, as I balance cost and such. I have my heads, which are Knights of the White Wolf heads, from WHF, and 9 Empire Great-Sword torso's for the NCO and commanders, just need some kilted legs (Either Kromlech or Victoria Lambs), and some arms WITH LASGUN/AUTOGUNS already hand.
5) Imperial Navy Ship Assault(ers?): I mean, why not, seemed like fun, don't have the slightest how to do it, cadian's with a navyish paint scheme?
6) Tau Gui-Vesa (Spelled it wrong) these bad boys looked like fun as well, but seeing as I am gonna start downsizing here soon...
7)Gretchin suicide bombers: Give em some funny hats and charge them at the enemy!
8) Roughriders mounted on GIANT...FRAKING... SQUIRRELS
9)Packs of hounds for the guard to charge at the enemy, kinda "Release the dogs of war" concept there.
10) An all female company of guardsmen, make em all gingers so as to scare the shift out of the enemies of man, for there is nothing more terrifying in my experience then a ticked off redheaded woman with a gun

That is all I can think of right now, but more will come, so now: DISCUSS, debate, figure out how to make some of this s&$@ work, and if its been done, shoot me a link!

Celts is the first one that pops into my head... I recall it was one of your early ideas when contemplating the Romans.

French foreign legion inspired guard.
Give them the rigid kepi the legion is know for, i'm thinking ww1ish time frame so maybe greatcoats and those awesome bagpacks that were so popular back then, with the bag and then their sleeping gear lashed to it, as well as other things.
And how could I forget the celts, half nacked fanatics of the emperor running into the enemy with laslocks and swords, screaming wildly as the came on.

The cool thing with IG, is the options are near endless. Literally any human of any time period of any nation can be made into a guardsmen. Then you can mix them to create more ideas, then you can add things to create more ideas.

I bet, if you just kept adding ideas to the list until you die, it would get huge to the point where it would be a pain to read haha. Not many factions (if any) can boast this kind of freedom in the lore and through modeling opportunities.

And yes, foreign legion would also be awesome. Especially the hats haha.
