My suggestion is simple:

For 10 points, let any Sergeant or Sword Brother with Chapter Tactics: Black Templars upgrade to an Aspiring Chaplain for 10 points. The Chaplain would use the same statline as the Sergeant in question and still have access to the Armoury, except he'd grant Hatred to his squad, but not have a Crozius Arcanum or Fearless, as he's still in training. This'd let Black Templars melee units be more dangerous without breaking them beyond belief, and seeing as it is similar to how Wolf Guards work shouldn't be hard to implement at all.

Thoughts?

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

This is a very good idea and actually makes crusader squads that are not min-maxed fairly decent... Also gives assault squads a needed boost.

10 points might be a little cheap, but damn I can see this making BT really powerful

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

Yeah, 15 pts is probably better. Other than that it's a very nice, simple addition to make BT a bit more competitive.

40k is 111% science.

I like it,15pts to upgrade a Sergeant to a Chaplain/Warden to grant Hatred really fits the BT fluff.
