My club needed some objective markers. We each member a 40mm base and the only rule is it must reflect your army.

Mine was guard, what do we reckon?

Looks to me like they buried the actual objective and tried to place an inconspicuous-looking marker of its location.

1400 points of EW/MW Italians (FoW)
2200 points of SoB and Inquisition (40K)
1000 points of orks (40K)
Just starting out with Ultramarines (30K)
Four 1000-2500 point forces for WHFB (RIP)
One orc team (Blood Bowl)

I think it looks good man. I like that idea. Simple, and easy to spit out 6 for a game. Nice work

Best critique EVAR.

Good job on the marker, I like how it invokes a sense of wonder as to what it actually means.

Shadowkeepers (4000 points)

Looks really good.

Doubt its a worthless objective...isnt that the grave of pt. Ryan?

Planning on my Guard objective markers too. Planning to use the wounded cadian i got in a commandsquad(?) and some weaponcrates. But this is a really nice looking too.

That looks pretty cool. It's nice to see people put effort into objective markers, since most tend to just throw down a poker chip and call it good.

As for a narrative, maybe it's a guardsman that had some valuable intel buried with him.

Thanks guys.

I'm planning the wounded cadian behind a bullgryn slab shield. As well as an ammo dump one.

Worthless? Didn't you know that an overcharged las gun pack can be thrown as a makeshift mini fusion bomb? That las gun is an armies chance to nuke a small fortress.

Great work btw! Given me an idea of what to do with the countless bases I have left over from my stormclaw box

Nice!
I have need of objective markers that aren't coins, since in my opinion terrain makes a game better. So that being said having obj markers that look like some sort of military obj then all the better. Forge World made a set that I never finished, I broke it out and have 5 different obj possibilities, one is like a pain boyz sergery (trying to spell Orkishly) tools, an Imperial Aquila, a stem like camera device, another appears as a bank of monitors in a console, and some ammo crates, I have another I made which is the corpse of a Space Marine lying next to what I call a machine spirit, he was killed while attempting to extract the device to a pick up zone. I'm repainting it since the first time I painted it in a terrible hurry. So that will give me six . Not sure about the Pain Boy instrument table, it's a bit odd for an objective... Anyone else have ideas or pictures of objectives?

IDS, is that cool if we start posting pictures of objectives here? Listing ideas for them too?

What if each player brings three objectives to the table, themed with his/her army? Then number them appropriately before the game.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.

I wouldn't mind other obj markers posted, but an admin might?

Maybe a new thread in painting and modelling?

I get what he means, I never understood objectives that were graves or dead bodies. However you've done it really well.
