Hi , Guys this is my attempt at banner and a mini diorama !! i Traced the the banner out then painted it in ! so it free hand to a point
Just looking for feed back on areas to improve.
1 Question i'd like to ask is should i keep to scrolls on the sides and back of the Banner ??

Wow, really, really nice.

I think the banner looks great and tracing the image on first just seems like common sense so I wouldn't knock yourself for that, the execution is top notch. I like the scrolls on the side, they don't distract from the banner and make more of a feature on the reverse.

I like the tone of the red, reminds me of old school Blood Angels with that hint of orange to it.

The only thing, and it is a very minor point, is that the yellow casing on the storm bolter says Space Wolves to me but that's really neither here nor there. A fantastic mini all in all.

Yet again you've made me want to cry with the quality of your work. Simply stunning dude.

Mate many thanks great feed back i didn't think about the yellow i saw a blood angel captain from games day he had yellow bits on him including his bolter so that's where i too the idea from ..i will change it before i stick it on ebay as i don't play the game i just love to paint these mini's then let some one else enjoy having them in their army . Oh man this is gorgeous ...not the greatest photos however, but a great looking mini.

I also love the red and all of my old BA's still have yellow bolters hah so that didn't stick out to me at all.

Regarding the banner... now this is on an expert level well beyond my skills - but as a BA lover I do have some small critique. The overall look is great, the sword is awesome, but the wings and arm stopped me for a second. The arm seems perhaps a little 'delicate' and that white torn/sleeve section is a little confusing to me - is it sleeve or is it more feathers or what? Further, while the actual feathers have depth and texture the black parts are entirely flat. A subtle approach is probably best, but to my non-expert eye it just seems a little flat in contrast.

Anyway, I wish I could paint like this! I hope you win something. :-)

Hi man thanks for the great feed bck as a paint i really enjoy it when some one gives me good critique ! I'm s little unsure on the arm myself i was thinking perhaps a skeleton are would suit better ?? "be interested on your thought's on that "? yes the white is a torn sleeve as for the Black bits they still need to be hit with Grey to add some sort of highlight the same for the skull .Again thanks for the great question .

aside from the banner arm (i think a skeleton arm would look much better), and the yellow storm bolter casing and power fist finger (i prefer black), which have already been mentioned, i find the yellow of the right boot to be very jarring...
you have a lovely red going on, and the...bam!... seemingly random spot of yellow...
it sticks out like a sore thumb, or in this case, toe...

keep up the good work...
it is shaping up to be a beautiful piece...

I agree with the decorations, they look very cool and add some extra character. I also agree that a Skeletal hand might work better on the banner itself.
