The Canedorian Assault Pioneers are going to be a infantry and sentinel heavy force I am building. They are gonna be wearing kilts, which I have a fairly firm grasp on how to either make myself or where to get them from. My main issue now is this: do I want to use cadian torso's and arms, or chaos marauder torso's and arms? They are all going to have beards, which are almost a requirement it seems for the old fashioned pioneer units of the 19th-20th century.
The heads I am using are from the WHF Empire Reiksguard set, as well as possibly some dwarf heads for those epic beards. My officers are almost finished, just needing arms and legs, which I am gonna be ordering soon.
The main concept of these guys is tat they are combat engineers, they advance ahead of the rest of the force, build a temporary fortress in the wilderness, as well as are the first men to blow a hole in a wall to make assaults on enemy defences more effective.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I am contemplating making them leather aprons as well, and gonna give them felling axes and other stuff (hammers, saws, ect.) on their backpacks.
The main issue is if I go with marauders, I think that I will need to GS backpack straps and some kind of armor for their protection. Though the marauders kinda make up for it by being rather inexpensive to get what I want from their boxes
The unit is gonna be Praetorian Auxilia units from some kinda small planet or moon in the same system, so I think I will give them an appropriate paint scheme, fiery red and black kilts, either white or brown leather stuff, and black boots. The majority of them are gonna be gingers as well
