Finally picked up some paint, brushes and models. Spent a bit of time over the past couple of nights building and painting this guy.
He will eventually be my Wolf Guard pack leader for my Grey Hunters, yet to decide weapons for him.
Any ideas?
Oh and what do you think of the paint job?

I was never a Son of Horus. I was and remain a Luna Wolf. A proud son of Cthonia, a loyal servant of the Emperor, beloved by all.

Nice! I like the light head. Makes a refreshing change from the GW black/grey ones.

Good job - he's looking great! Some constructive criticism...

You paint well, nice and clean. Give yourself a clean canvas and trim/scrape your mold lines! :p When you have such a clean-cut paint job it makes mold lines stick out like a sore thumb. It really doesn't take long to scrape them off with a hobby knife.

You have a good color going on the armor, but it needs a shade and highlight to really make it pop. Use a small brush and put the shade in all the cracks on the armor, reapply the basecoat color, and highlight the basecoat. It'll make the armor POP!

Excellent start, though. Keep it up!

What is best in life? To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women. Grrr.
