Haven't tried my hand at a painting blog before but I recently picked up a large DKoK army so I thought why not now.

First up is my vanquisher which is by far the most fun model I have ever painted. I have decided to give it a winter urban camo scheme. I decided to paint the tank commander in a style reminiscent of panzer crewmen with the blackish grey color and burgundy for the accent color.

Next up is my heavy weapons squad.

Next up I have my Knight errant from my own custom house, House Vasa. Same thing as before winter type urban camo scheme, but with dead deathguard who were foolish enough to try and fight him.

Speaking of Lancers here is mine. Sorry for the static pose, but it was my first large model from FW I ever made. Hopefully the castigor turns out better lol. Also sorry for the picture overload

Now my second tank, but the first I painted. After I took the pictures I realized I forgot to wash the metal on the gas filters on back but no worries I did.

Looks good. Nice to see another DKoK general.

Thank you. I've been eyeing the DKoK for a long time now and I can finally afford the arm and leg to pay for them

Quick update got a squad plus an extra melta gunner and troop all base coated up minus the sarge and vox caster, waiting on bits for those two. First time using the new base coat sprays from GW and they are pretty good.

Now for something a little different, my VC for fantasy. I recently started painting my converted grave guard and here is the first one I have finished.

I like the way you are using camouflage. Very original look. And I have to say that knight is rocking the house.

The camp scheme was actually a mistake, I was trying for something else when I stumbled onto it. Thanks though the errant is probably my best knight yet

Just a small update, I got my Hoard o bits order so I am able to make my sergeants. On a side note I will probably not be using the gw base coat spray again. The time I saved with the base coat I spent on covering it up in the really small details it covered that had to be changed

Finished one squad this weekend, minus the vox operator waiting on FW for that.

Looking good! The red works well with the blue.

Cool stuff. Liking the blue and red together, reminiscent of WW1 French.

Thanks, I was going for a bit of a german look with the red just being an accent color but now that I look at pictures it does seem french lol

Don't despair, the French looked pretty swish! You'll have a coherent and sizeable force in no time. Bases are looking good too.

Yeah I got about 1500ish of krieg to make but I will probably stop there for now. The bases are super easy I didnt want them to look all uniform though so I try and add some barbed wire or other trench warfare type stuff

That's cool. Are you using the FW Siege list?

Until I can pony up for the grenadier squads and the Hades drills I will just be running them as normal AM

Awesome stuff. DKOK are my favorite kind of guard other than the ones that follow the path of chaos. Keep it up.

Thanks man DKOK is by far my favorite followed by elysians, damn you fw for making me want to spend all my money! . But there is a pretty awesome Sons of Sek P and M blog on here somewhere if you like traitor guardsmen

It is made by army painter its like eight or ten dollars for a package of eight feet of it.

Small update I finally got my FW kit for the vox casters, so with the vox operator now I have a full squad

yeah sadly it wasnt as good as I hoped so chalk that up to my scultping not being the best. I may try using some sort of needles to make the antennae

Needle would work if you can drill it in, or even some thin wire that would have the added bonus of being flexible.
