Hey guys,

Just a few days ago Forgeworld put up their new knight titan (Questoris Knight Magaera) variant along with its rules. It has the basic body, but then you get all the new weapon and armor pieces to go along with it. If you haven't already seen it, I strongly recommend you go and check the forgeworld site for alI the rules and pictures.I already have two normal knight titans and I was considering buying this one to complete my knight army. Now I want to know your guys opinions on whether you think I should get it or not. Thanks for the feedback.

On moon miranda.

It looks cool and its rules are pretty functional, I'd say go for it.

At this point I want to make an Army with one of each Knight variant in it

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

I really liked the new knight and it seems like the rules will be nerfed a bit, maybe a drop in ap for the lightning cannon or in its range. So unless FW goes all rito on us, it seems like it will hold up well.

Depends on what other armies/knights you have as much as anything. The Magaera is damn tough, but lacks the speed of the Lancer or the damage output of a Castigator. So if you want a solid and dependable like holder/breaker, get the Magaera, I'd you want a fast tank/knight killer get the Lancer, and you want a horde control unit get the Castigator.

Personally, I'd go with the Castigator, just as it has the coolest model in my opinion.

I voted no, not because I don't think its good model, but because you can convert it from the existing kit for half the price.

This is why I wish they were all that size without having the uber tall ones with extra leg sections.

I love the knights and own 6. I voted no but based solely on rules. Model wise I will get one but doubt I will see much use out of it. I don't see what it does better than any other knight besides break buildings which isn't of particular use to me personally. As I said though, I will be getting one either way so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I plan to use mine as the Warlord (and magnetise it so I can use 'normal' knight weapons as well).

Unlike the Lancer and Castigator kits, the Magaera is a "normal" Knight kit with add-on pieces. This why I say it's not worth the cost when you can convert the kit yourself. Even the Lancer and Castigator are an easy conversion of the regular kit, requiring a simple lengthening of the legs and clever weapon/shield scratch builds. The Magaera is an even easier conversion, since there are no leg extensions, and the Lightning Cannon is the Melta body+shield with the Battle Cannon barrel. Just need to scratch up the different melee weapon options and swap out the hull Stubber barrel. Literally an easy-peesy DIY mod.

I voted no. I agree with the above that the castigator is of more use. I personally like the height.
