Thanks giys for the great comments. I need some help im toying with idea of redoing the engines without the exhaust soot because as much as i like it i think it doesnt fit with clean paintjob of the res of the vehicle

This is great... I was about to embark on the journey into a Tau Army... this kit is absolutely stunning! I love the colors, the engines are great! I'd like to see it with the gun drones. Please...

I was just thinking the soot looks great but might be balanced by the odd bit of weathering on the nose and wings. Nothing excessive, just some oil streaks or something like that.

Whichever way you go, the basic concept and execution is excellent!

Love the overall effect, but the engines are certainly in need of work. However, I'd go a little more middle-ground. Put a few scratches on the nose and leading edges, then re-do the engines and add some light exhaust soot on the back and a few scratches on the front.

So what I'm trying to say is add slight wear to the rest, then re-do the engines to match that. I don't understand the darkening on the front of the engines, which are presumably the intakes and would not see the exhaust.

But having said that, it's a wonderful idea and colour combo. You have inspired me to take another look at mine when I can get back to them. Thanks for the inspiration.

"Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." I love this color scheme. I'm getting ready to do a "Tale of Four Gamers" type gig with some friends and I'd love to do a close approximation of this color scheme. Could you elaborate on what colors you used? Specifically the orange?

Looking good! My hammerhead is painted with this exact same idea but instead of orange I used moot green.

Not sure about the engine soot myself just because I feel tau use a superior feul source that isn't fossil fuels (which create lots of gunk lol)
