I had so much fun doing Gorman in about an hour I wanted to see if I could do it again.

This is Gorten Grundback, Rhulic Warcaster. I picked up the model cuz I thought it looked cool.

Looking at the pictures there are a few spots that could probably use touching up, but the exercise was to get it done fast and well.

For a fast Model quite ok but he armor needs washing and edging

Edging is there look closer at the edging of the armor by the face, arms and knee guards. Also if you look at the smoke stacks you can see the transition from P3 pig iron to Vallejo Air Chrome, lighting just sucks without a light box.

Wash was applied to the metals and face, I Sunday out any in the armor intentionally.

Looks good, has potential to look great with some shading washes and edge highlighting - as posted above.

In other words, impressive for an hour's work - now spend another hour finishing!

I think the problem is the base was to bright so it making the model look alot brighter or the camera used a flash/too much lighting.

I need to go to work every day.

Night and day improvement, and I was still impressed with the original for only an hour's worth of work!

Thanks Y'all! I'm having fun with trying to get models done in an hour or so. I've got another one in mind that I'll post tonight.

The wash makes it look 100x better.

I gotta ask...is there any particular reason you're doing the "under an hour" standard?
You've got the skill to do a lot better, so why not spend a little extra time?

Fully understand if you're trying to make a deadline, fully painted tourney, or just have a life outside our little painted toy addiction. Just curious.

Just a change of pace. I'm kinda tired of spending days on a model and wanted to see how fast I could paint to a decent tabletop standard is all. I'll probably do a few more models like this, then back to the normal stuff. Right now it's fun.
