Hey all. These are just a few Wave Serpents I knocked out a while back. Thought I'd throw them up here and see what ya'll think.
The theme is very much "stardust", if you will. No particular Craftworld.
My usual focus is Imperial Armies, very weathered and worn, so doing a "clean" scheme was a nice break.
As always, CC is welcome.
Enjoy!

"Stardust" came across very well, and I like how you gave them each a different single colour of gems. Helps to differentiate between them in-game.

The cockpit canopies bother me a little bit. They look a bit clouded, is that accidental from the clear overcoat, or is that intentional? They seem to stick out a bit and not really fit in with anything.

I'd also love to see some of the finer details filled in. Mechanical bits here and there, maybe some colour on the weapons (scatter lasers specifically), or the frames on the canopies.

Overall the main body is looking good! Maybe a touch too much yellow, but that's just my taste.

Yeah, the canopies fogged up a bit; not quite sure why. They looked fine for a month or so, but then this. I didn't add them until after the model was varnished, so it's not from that. Luckily, these aren't solidly glued on, so I can pry them off and stick some other ones on there.

I intentionally left color off the scatter laser; the majority of the model is coated in wet gloss, which gives it a striking effect on table (but not so much in pictures). I left all weapons and vents matte black for some contrast in "texture".
You're right about some of the mechanical bits, so I may go in later and touch that up a bit.

Other people have mentioned the yellow, but I rather like it.

I wanted something different than what's normally seen on Wave Serpents, and I think I accomplished it here.

Thanks for the input!

You can use some rubbing alcohol or a small amount of acetone to try and shine the canopies up again. There are also some "Plastic Polishes" you can get from virtually any hardware store that are fairly cheap.

If all else fails, GW will usually give you replacements for free.
