Hi guys, me again!

Finished this guy yesterday and was wondering what you guys thought? I know the flames are painted quite bad but i have no idea at all how to paint them :p.

For the flames you should basecoat it in black, take a bright red while leaving the deepest recesses black. Then out on a layer of orange and fine, thin highlights of yellow. On bigger flames you can then even add highlights at the most exposed tops in white or a mix between yellow and white. Don't be afraid of strong colour contrasts, with flames it looks better then keeping the shades close.

Yeah it is the changling model, i had him back whem i played fantasy and was a little worse for wear so hence why the little conversation work :p.

I'll have to give the flames a go the way you mentioned, because i really cant stand my failed attempt haha.

And yes, base!

I would not go with a black base for fire. Real fire is brightest the middle and darker on the tips like white yellow to oranges and red even the black smoke would not be in the recesses but out the tips of the flames

Id go white and use a yellow wash then dry brush a lighter orange into a redish orange into a bright red shading them to look more like a real flame

Make it a white base then graze blue on the bottom then lather the orange like you did the tip it grey and/or black

What I described results in a similar thing like the flames on this Inquisitor Karamazov:

leave the base alone nothing more ugly then a made up base..... if i ever have a random tuff of grass foloowing me around then I will say sorry to the basers til then. THIS IS WAR NOT A SCREENSHOT!!! the world changes static bases are lame!!!!!
