So I'm looking forward to the Forgeworld Solar Auxilia releases. My plan is to convert a few taurox's to better fit the aesthetic, i'm not 100% sure if these will be Solar Auxilia or PDF. I quite like the idea of having a Poorly equipped PDF army where there big guns are Taurox's and maybe just one decrepid Leman Russ as there "Super Heavy" support. I think it would be quite fun to field by itself and as an army beside the SA but no concrete decisions yet. Here is my work so far... I have trimmed the visor type thing so it fits better flush with the hull. I have removed the track guards as they seem a bit redundant to me. I have also removed the rear hatch mount as I plan to create a more traditional rear ramp. The sides have been prepped for some extensive body work mods it's going to be a fair bit bulkier oh and I have also raised the front as I think it looks more aggressive that way. Lots of ideas and updates soon.

I have little experience with scratch building so progress is going to be slow and frustrating lol. Here's a small update

First of, sorry for the necro!

I'm curious to hear how you'll be fitting these into the Solar Auxilia setting, seeing as the army only has the Dracosan (and Arvus) for its transport duties. As for regular PDF duties, with some conversions it shouldn't look too out of place IMHO.

Don't give up, keep at it!

Also, if looking for a unique PDF look, have you thought about replacing the tracks with wheels? That's what I've done with all of my own Taurox transports.

Sorry for the lack of updates on this I have an ongoing illness which really kicked me in the ass the past few months and I havent been able to concentrate on anything but things are getting back on track and I will get back on this and other projects soon. My current plan is to make an Heresy Era auxiliary force but I will be using mostly 7th edition Guard codex as Imperial Army hasn't been done by FW yet but there will be "Solar Pattern" Gear. This modified taurox and others will be representing Imperial Army Tetsudo transports which they used during the heresy. Also I have got those exact wheels on my Taurox it was definitely the right move!
