So I'm still a fairly new painter, and this is one of the first models I actually feel pretty proud about. Figured I'd show it off to Dakka and see what they think!

Pretty nice job for a new painter. The colors are vibrant and contrast nicely with the blacks.

You should try to get some Salamanders iconography on those shoulder pads. I got it, there's a cloak covering half each pad, but you should be able to trim down a decal that would work.
As for the "scales" on the cloak, it's a good effort but they look more like green bubbles since there's gaps between. Scales should be overlapping.
The base also needs to be finished.

Overall, a solid job.

House Griffith has some very good and valid points.

For a newer painter I think its great, and you show a bunch of potential.

Things I would recommend working on that will only make you better.

1. Use a base color of brown under your golds and bronzes. It will look much better than strait over the black primer and you can control the brightness just based on the brown you choose. As a bonus you wont have to use as much paint to cover up the base color either, so it won't look "thick".

2. Work on lining, Your lines are a bit inconsistent (It just takes some practice). There are techniques out there that work well for steadying your hands.

3. Try working on blending (it's a pain to learn but soooo worth it). It will help with your color transitions, especially on the scales with the different greens.
