The title speaks for itself. Really loved doing the basing ob these guys, even if it is generic for the Salamander chapter. The etched brass turned out really good too.

Into the fires of battle brother!

I like you choice in colors. It looks well washed. Highlights may be a bit dull, or it could be the picture.

The red in the shield caught me off guard, but if you like it then whatever.

Overall quite well done sir.

No armor edging? Nothing? Different. Can't say bad, but different.

Yea. The face, for instance, is just carefully applied and controlled agarax earthshade wash.

I like it. I am also not a fan of edge highlighting. Sometimes it can look really bad when done wrong. You can easily add highlights without using edges as your focus point of light. I know it's a miniature technique that many use. I just don't care for it.

I'll be upfront and say I'm not a fan of mid tone and shadow only painting. I've known guys over the decades in the historical realm who did it, and it never caught my fancy.

The paint job is solid, though, if not splotchy from the wash here and there. Helmet is very nice. Unfortunately, the mold lines and mismatch on the TH jumped right out at me and detract from an otherwise nice paint job on the metalics.
