I make about 50,000 sprues a year, so new models get squeezed in between machine breakdowns and filling orders for widgets. I am frustrated about the lack of progress, but this is still a one person operation. Between legal and tax paperwork, shipping, packing and making things it leaves little time to work on new models.

BUT- I will do my best to keep inching forward.

And someday I will have a staff of some sort. Or at least a lackey/minion.

Any more terrain coming from Proxie models? I am really like the stuff in your webshop. Just need to talk a few friends in to ordering, so we can get together a order big enough to justify the shippin to Sweden.

Have you considered making movement trays for WHFB or KOW?

Lastly, I really appreciate following your work on the blog. Kinda reminds me of the constant tinkering and blue collar engineering my dad and uncle does, as well as alot of other people around my home town in northern Sweden.

The bases look good, but the NVG guys don't, I'm afraid. The overall shape looks fine, but they seem to be lacking the level of fine detail people expect from 28mm miniatures.

I agree - the bases are great, but not necessarily the models. I'm not sure if that's down to the starting sculpt / geometry, the way you're creating the tooling, or what...

I have, however, been thrilled with all the bases and terrain I've gotten from Proxie Models, excellent stuff

I'm still blown away that Ken can produce injected molded plastic in basically his garage.

Ken, I'm interested in your sci fi dudes - it's $8 for 8 - will you have a bundle deal? Like a set of 40 for a discount, kind of thing?

Congratulations! Funny I was trying to remember your company jus the other day.

There's some good stuff there I have to put in an order for terrain some time soon.

The web store has free shipping over $30, so that is a bit of a savings.

Terrain is another thing I can make, but it has become obvious that the small press size is best suited for small items.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. It has been a bit frustrating at times but it seems that the UK and US could produce all sorts of plastic stuff in the 1960's without any real technology. There has to be a way to re-learn that stuff and things are slowly coming in to focus. I am very happy to be able to share the ups and downs of things. And the vast majority of people are pretty friendly and supportive.

I try to make stuff for average people with average incomes and average painting skills. The casual gamer more or less like me.

The detail on the models looks a little soft, but they look nice painted up.

If your producing them in your garage, I'm impressed.

I couldn't find anything in the store.

I have some of the terrain from Proxy (the corrugated metal building) and I can say I like it a great deal. Those bases look excellent. Keep up the good work! The troopers are, well, pretty average/1980, but you can't beat the price.

I just bought a set of 8 this past week. each model has a choice of three heads and I choose the robot head for my eight. I gave them a very basic paint job and when the're finished I might post pics of them online. over all I'm happy with them, good first attempt.

Love my proxie stuff.

Ken's my go to guy for basing of all shapes and sizes, although I still hope he makes some more fantasy/ cobblestone/ ruin bits and bobs to base with. Hopefully that's on his never ending list of things to do as it is!

I kind of like those guys. The plainness works to their advantage I think- you can use them for all sorts of things. Sci fi, near future, human, alien, robot... There's a bit of flexibility there.

I'd been complaining to Barzam about wanting some COBRA style bad guys, and these guys look like they could fit the bill quite well. I think I might grab some.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Does anyone have a size comparison shot of them ?

If a little paint can make them look like COBRA troopers or Vypers, I'm sold.

Just went and placed an order for some.

We'll see if I can turn them into Vipers, or at least some sort of generic bad guy force.

The detail on the guys looks quite soft. I'm curious as to how they would look with a slightly better paintjob, though. The price is certainly good

Not really seeing the point of the base toppers over just buying a piece of textured plasticard.

I'm not a great painter but here are some near complete photos with the robot head along with a scale shot with a chaos marine for Adam.

Thanks for taking the time to take and post the photo

They actually look quite good.

It's a simple but effective paint job. I like that the armor isn't cluttered with a lots of unnecessary detail. They make an effective generic bad guy.

I just ordered 40 of them

Awesome! I just ordered 16 of them.

The heads on the upper right part of the sprue that has the flamethrower look very much like Cobra viper helmets.

At least as good looking as my restic mantic enforcers from Dread Zone. And probably a LOT easier to clean up and assemble.

Proxie makes good stuff! I've had some of his earlier 15mm 40k-ish looking sci fi vehicles and love them.

Recieved my models, quickly, well packed, with order documentation.

I haven't had the chance to try and do anything with them yet, but they look promising. The heads look better up close than they did in the pictures.

Did have one miscast robot head in a lot of figures with 140 heads. Small issue for me, since I was planning on using the robot heads, but for the price I won't complain.

If he adds different figures for the same price I'd gladly purchase them.

I'll post some pics when I get some assembled and painted.

Got mine too.

Very soft details, but I knew that going in. Can't complain about the price either.

Perfect for fodder troopers of some sort of quasi SF variety.

I can try and post some pictures, but they'll be on my phone, and they will most likely suck.

Got mine. Detail level is reminiscent of RTB01 Space Marines and Warhammer Fantasy Regiments. So, soft. Overall totally worth a buck apiece. These will be generic sci fi soldiery.

Ken, I hope you will consider making a second sprue, perhaps containing a set of running and/or crouching legs, over-shoulder rocket launcher (like a USA Javelin) and a dedicated SAW (with box ammo). Perhaps some optional backpacks/jetpacks?

Then if you made a 28mm sci fi APC/IFV like a future Stryker with a separate comms array/20mm turret/mortar/missile launcher/105mm antitank gun I would buy a half dozen from you.

Those guys totally need backpacks. One of my saddest discoveries was that they didn't have any.

Kids were already talking about using them to replace the Mars Attacks! Novas Virae 'random bystanders with guns' figures.

Some sort of transport and alternate leg sets would be a cool addition.

Then again, so would some fantasy base topopers.

2 Words ... WEAPON SPRUES

Modern Looking weapons on one side, 40K'ish sci fi weapons on the other at $2 a sprue would fly off the shelves.

Throw a scfi backpack on the sci fi side with some Melta, Plasma, Grav, Lasgun equivalents
