I recently finished this unit of six Dragon Ogres. I'm especially happy with the human like skin tone, someone actually walked up to me in a GW store and asked me "how did you get the skin so realistic?" That's the kind of painting question I like to get.

Anyway, hobby questions are welcome as always. Have a great weekend.

And how did you..?

They look great, btw. Nice bases, too.
How did you do the lower half? I've got 3 Dragon Ogres on my desk to paint and I'm trying to think of different ways to do the scaley bits. So far it's only painted green and shaded. I'll probably drybrush a lighter green on - what did you do?

They look really good and the skin is indeed very well done.

The reptilian lower half was done with Stegadon Scale Green as a base, Coelia Nightshade wash, Thunderhawk Blue dry brush, then Etherium Blue (I think is the name) for final highlight. The spiky spiny bits were taken up to a more greenish blue.

And thanks for the comments.
