Wondering Why the Emperor Left





A few Models I have finished recently. First time airbrush so tips are muchly needed.

These are really good! I like the way the colour seems to just go on forever, very smooth. Unfortunately I can't give you any tips on airbrushing as I've no experience in it myself, but how do you do it? Airbrushing always seemed to me like the sort of thing you could only use for basecoating. How did you achieve this look? Did you do highlights with a brush or...?



Gets along better with animals... Go figure.

I use both the airbrush and a paint brush. I used three shades with air, and the I do some edge highlights and some shading with a brush.

I like to use them as well, great for making them stand out. Veterans need some fancy pants armour.

Colours are, Khorne Red, Mephiston Red, And Wild Rider, edge with Kindleflame....But thin it down, I don't like the dry paints so much.

Using an airbrush will give that smooth colour transition. One colour sprayed over another will give you a perfect blend. Also, you can pre shade using darker and lighter shades of basecoat on different areas. The amount of paint that is sprayed and the pressure and intensity can all be controlled by the airbrush, which allows you to paint smaller areas
