This is a project Ive been working on for the last six months thats finally nearing completion. So I thought I would take the time to share my progress with everyone here. Its a Tzeentch themed CSM collection currently sitting at just over 3000pts. The completed army will also include daemons and sit at the 4000pt mark for Apocolypse games. The full collection will eventually include:

1 Daemon Prince

2 squad of Thousand Sons
2 squads of Chaos Marines
1 squad of Chosen
6 spawn
1 Heldrake
1 squad of Terminators

Ill also be posting some chaos themed terrain im working on to go with my army. I apologize in advance for poor picture quality, I dont own a camera so all pictures will be taken from my phone.

Looking good so far, I like how a lot of them have capes/mantles, even the Daemon prince! I guess he shops at the same place as the Hulk does for his trousers, or does this warband have an active knitting circle as well?

What kind of terrain are we speaking of when you say 'Chaos terrain', by the way? The tentacle-monsters-coming-from-below-kind or the good old scorched-earth-with-gore-kind?

Looks good so far. I particularly like the first sorceror, and the raptor helms and robes on the chosen.

The chaos terrain is gonna be a mix of both actually. Im going with a desert/wasteland theme for my basing, so the terrain is going to be blackstone ruins in the desert with weird things here and there like tenticles coming out of places and crystals jutting out of the ground. Like reality is unraveling, im still working out details but it will be Tzeentchy in the end.

Unraveling reality sounds like fun, maybe you could have the ground crack open, revealing a portal beneath and having a couple of Daemon arms rising throughs the cracks?

Thats not a bad idea, I like it! One thing id really like to do but i doubt i have the skill for is embed color changing LEDs in the terrain. That way the crystals look like theyre shifting colors, I could even incorporate it into the cracks in the ground so it looks like the Warp is bleeding out of the planets crust. The thing is this is my first ever attempt at carving terrain out of foam and I doubt I could do anything that complex

Quick update, I plan on buying a camera and a few other things so I can take some higher quality pictures. New pictures of everything will be up in the next few days including some freshly painted models

I finally made it to the store yesterday to get my new camera and managed to get a few more models put together. So from here on out the picture quality will be much higher now that i dont have to use my phone. This first batch of new pictures will be retakes of previous work so they can be seen in higher detail. Starting of here is a closer look at my custom chosen, kit bashed using standard chaos marines, raptors and parts from the Evilcraft range online.

Heres some more pictures of two of my sorcerers. First the second in command. I made him using parts from the Evilcraft range, the sword from the Dark Vengeance chaos lord, and the head from the basic chaos marines sprue. The robes and flames around his hand were sculpted with green stuff. Then the Thousand Sons terminator sorcerer is another kit bash using thousand sons conversion bits i got off ebay, parts from the terminator chaos lord, the sword from a Grey Knight terminator, and the head from a clam pack librarian. Again the robes are sculpted from green stuff as well as the flames on the blade of his sword.

Ive spent a good bit of time this week doing a conversion for a new sorcerer to replace the current one im using as my warlord. I like the warlord sorcerer but i feel like the pose is to static and boring. So im building this one with a more dynamic pose. I also took the opportunity to try and incorporate some more detail this time around and try some new things with my sculpting. Im pretty happy with how its come out so far. With the extra bits I was also able to make a new spell familiar using the fantasy tzeentch sorcerer and some other bits. Also earlier this week i was reading through the Apocalypse book and found the Thousand Sons Warcoven formation. The formation allows you to bring Ahriman or a ML3 sorcerer and 3 or more aspiring sorcerers in a single unit. Now that i know about it, i have to run it in atleast one game. So i dug through my bits box to scrape together four aspiring sorcerers to act as a retinue for my sorcerer warlord.

Ive managed to get a lot of work done on some of my terrain pieces over the last two days. Most of the painting is done as well as some Agrellan Earth texture and some sand. This is also my first try at dry brushing using the citadel dry paints. I think it came off a little too thick in alot of places so ill probably go back over it with dry brushed black to even it out in places. Anyway here are some WIP shots. More pics will come as i get further along

After a long holiday hiatus from the hobby I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. Now that most of my models that I need have arrived and been built its time to start the daunting task of getting this whole army painted. So far ive completed new sorcerer as well as my havocs and terminators. I also received a large number of ork models for christmas that ive been preoccupied with, which I may end up rolling into this post to make one big project blog. But for the time being im going to focus on getting this chaos army finished and pushed up to Apocalypse size. Heres what I've completed so far in the last few weeks
