Hi Dakka,

Just wanted to show everyone my sniper off for c&c. I'm pretty pleased with how he's gone and I think the camoflage works quite well.

Cheers

Ig

I don't mean to be rude man, but it's hard to tell what the guy is holding..

The paint looks great, and he looks camouflaged. That being said, I would generally expect camo netting on both, or on neither. Having netting on the rifle and not on him seems a bit odd.

Yeah i agree with the above. I think it would work better if you dialled back the scrim netting, and used it sparingly across the rifle and the man himself.

Agree with above posts.

Usually the sniper wears most of the ghillie suit, not the rifle.

seriously though its not a bad paintjob, doubt I could do much better, just take some camo off the rifle

I'm going to disagree with the above posts. I enjoy it. We're talking about a game 40,000 years in the future. Who's to say what camouflage methods they are using?

Maybe they camouflage the guns so the enemy doesn't know what's a sniper rifle and what's a lascannon.

I say chalk this one up to artistic liberty. I think it looks good man.

^ bit silly..whos to say people in the future wont be engineered to have guns growing out of their heads? doesnt mean a model with a gun stuck on a head would look good does it.

But they do have guns coming out of their heads. And it does look pretty cool. Anyway, I'm just saying I think the model looks good. If I'm in the minority, then so be it. Not trying to start a flame war, just trying to give the guy some encouragement from an alternate point of view.

Hi guys, thanks for the comments on my sniper, it's been really good to hear what you think of my first experiments with camo netting. Like most of the comments I don't think its perfect, but since its my first go I think it went alright.

Reality-Torrent - Thanks for the comments, and as I should have said before this was an experiment, which I'm pretty happy with. Yeah the gun isn't the best ever but

tro - Cheers for the feedback, and yeah if I did it again then I'd definitely put some camo on the sniper as well as toning it down on the gun. But you know, things happen and you learn from them in the hobby.

queen_annes_revenge - Thankyou for your feedback and your comments on realism, although looking at your gallery I think you paint more fantastical sci-fi miniatures than I do!

suks - Always great to hear something a bit more positive! Thanks for the feedback and I do love that in this hobby you can get a wide range of responses to the same miniature.

As ever thanks for looking

Cheers

Murray
