Ok this is going to be a tricky one to ask without pictures, but I'm not home at the moment so I can't upload anything. Hopefully I will make sense!

Anyway, I am doing a conversion, and I am adding wheels to an old eldar raider I have (it'll make sense when its done, hopefully). The wheel is done, but I have to make a largish bracket for the wheel to run through.

So basically, I need an extra chunk of plastic, that attaches securely to the raider, and than can also attach securely to the wheel, and all be load bearing (as i obviously dont want the wheels falling off every time I pick up/put down the tank).

I have a few sheets of 1mm plasticard, but I havent used it much, and I could probably make the right shapes with it, but I'm uncertain if it will be a bit too flimsy. I mainly got the card to make decorative pieces and panels.

I do have some green stuff on the way in the post, for another conversion i was doing. I could probably make the right sort of shape with it, eventually, but again... not sure if it would be strong enough.

Does anyone have any ideas? I would use sprue plastic, but i think it will end up looking pretty messy (Though I could then coat it in plasticard/greenstuff I guess.) My last resort is trying to find some piece of plastic of the right kind of shape and hack it up with my dremel.

If this has ended up being confusing, I'll chuck a picture up when i get home

Ok now I am home, I will upload a couple pics.

Pic1 and Pic2 are showing the wheel roughly in place, though I may reposition is further forward/backward depending on how it looks.

Pic3 shows an example of what I am looking to do. The original inspiration for the idea looks a lot better, but I cant find a decent picture of it, but the star wars droid is close enough to show you the general idea.

So I need to make a front and rear... bracket/cover/ring, for the wheel to run through, like in the example. Needs to be able to be rigid and sturdy, as the wheel will be attached to the main chassis via this bracket.

ATM the best idea I have is to make a rough square out of sprue bits, and then pretty it up with plasticard and greenstuff afterwards. If anyone has a better/simpler option, please let me know.
