Hey guys,

I just made a test on a old space marine with a jump pack to see if my color idea about my next space wolves army will fit nice. What you think? Should i add more yellow?

Thanksss!

Looks good to me. A more classic scheme for the Sons of Russ, which is cool, and there's something to be said for being neat without factory-fresh shiny!

I like it! The darker grey feels a bit more in keeping with their character, to my mind, than the pale, powder blue-grey I sometimes see.

As for adding more yellow, I don't think a touch more would hurt, but I'm not sure where, exactly, you could/should put it. Some yellow dags on the red of the chainsword might work well and you could always color the odd kneepad. Beyond that, though, I fear you risk moving into "tweaked scheme of a successor chapter" territory if you start coloring many more elements.

On the chipping, I say "do it, but keep a light touch." I generally feel that weathering for minis, when not a core thematic element (Orks, Nurgle, etc.), is very much a 'less is more' sort of thing. The very fine pattern you have, if carried too far around all the edges of plates, may just mask your edge highlights and muddy the models' lines. Fewer and denser patches than on your test model would work better, I think.

Nice very sober look. Classic Russ.

The only constructive criticism I might bring would be the eyes. Maybe go with a slightly (very slightly) brighter red to make them pop out a bit more.

Just my opinion

Looking spiffy.

My own "well I would do..." is boosting the highlights on the chest eagle, or lightening the shadows on it. Make it pop a little more from the grey on the rest of the army.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.
