FWIW, ive been to a fair share of hobby shops, and GW shops for that matter. and the yonge lawerence store is the nicest store ive ever been to with the best tables and terrain available

Hey all...getting back into 40k after a bit of a break...are there any stores in the gta where you can play late...say till 10pm

I think the GW at Lawrence closes at 9 on weekdays. I was there yesterday until 8, where I lost 2 games horribly and realised I need to read my rulebook over again... I completely forgot about going to ground... And the effect of spotlights.

Agreed, its a nice store, clean, lots of tables, and terrain.

Anyone in the Vaughan area up for a game today? If so, let me know. Legends opens at 11 a.m. Otherwise, let me know if anyone is interested in a game Saturday (tomorrow). If not, then I will see some people on Sunday for sure at Legends... 11 a.m.

Just weekdays, and the tables are always there Thurs is just 40k night. Seems like you can go in for a game anytime though. Its closed on Monday.


- they do have tournaments and as I have never been there for or during one I couldnt tell you what its like then.

Yes, it is open 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sounds like we will have 5-7 people coming on Sunday. They have 4 tables and plenty of terrain. Sunday will be fun!

tournaments are actually quite fun there, always full. Very hobbiest tournies though, lots of strange fluffy scenarios

Legends is having a Warhammer 40K League. If interested, express your desire to register ASAP because it starts soon! It's a $10 entry and there are prizes. I believe the league will be open, in the sense that games are not scheduled for specific times, so people of all ages and work schedules can be involved.

Hey, does the Legends crowd usually have any issues with FW and IA units for pickup games? Naturally restrictions apply to tournies and whatnot, but is there a majority stance?

I don't know what FW and IA units mean. I can't speak for anyone else, but I am easy going.

Models from forge world, such as the warp hunter, and rules from IA books that have been approved, such as special characters.

Either way, I'm flexible.

I may be able to do an eve at gw lawrence..but thurs is no good for me...how strict are they with conversions? I do orks

I have never really seen them monitor someones models at the GW, I assume they would for a tourney, but for a pick up game I dont know how much they would care...

As for a game at GW I may be able to do one there this week.

I got pulverized! I learned many things in that game and made a few mistakes! Good Fun.

The place `Legends Warehouse`Is amazing. The staff are very friendly, the place is huge and clean. The `magic` player have their own section!
I`d like to get more game in there as well

Sunday turnout would be good. Legends pulled out a 5th Tabletop yesterday, providing lots of gaming space.

Good to meet Dark eldar elite. We had a good match, I will have to watch out for those Wracks, esp after they kill 2 squads and get that 3rd pain token.

Legends is probably the nicest gaming/hobby store I've been to. Really impressive terrain and a great gaming space with tables that are actually the correct height to play on.

Very friendly staff, I spent a good deal of time talking shop with the guy that built the terrain. It's a bit more of a hike than I'm used to but I really want to get out there again soon. Not sure if this Sunday is free, but definitely later this month or in March!

Congrats on your victory against me Styrofoam. You didn't have to record it, I remember my losses because they are the most traumatizing X_O.

My mighty razor jet wing and ravager (okay, not very mighty) lasted until the last round. They took a beating, but kept on...well, doing nothing... When you want to come to Legends on the weekends More Dakka, just let me know and I can pick you up at the subway station near your work and return you to a station as well... save you some trouble.
