Hey kids, got a small update for you all.
Remember when I said I was waiting for something from Anarchy Models? Well behold!
Its shattered pattern stencil sticker things.
They look great, but I don't know how well they'll work with all those rivets and bits in the way.
Also, they recommend using an airbrush, which I simply don't have.
Here's hoping I can make it work. Also snagged some of their nice chem-mask heads for my conversion needs.
Like I said, small update. That's all I've got for you.

Behold children! I come bearing updates!
So I peeled off the decals. I spent some time deliberating how to best paint them, and then decided that I couldn't without an airbrush.
Then I proceeded to paint more star bursts onto the tank.
Wait a minute, what's this???
TECH HERESY!!!!
I thought it would add some detail and character to my tank.
Then I added some more starbursts to finish it up.
What do you all think? How's it coming along?

Maybe I'll give that a shot with the Manticore or the gunship. The stencils are a new an alien thing to me. :/

Ah, there we go. Now! Onto the Hexblade!
So, I was looking at the tow hooks and I thought, what would a group of criminals use those for? LAUNDRY! But... since I don't know how to use greenstuff, I just stuck some old weapon bits onto them.
Those are oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooold. From back when GW sold CC Weapons in blister packs.
And as you may be able to tell in that picture, I painted the tracks.
Then I was looking at my star bursts and though to myself, those lines are awful. I looked for my painter's tape and try to make them nice and neat, but.... well I couldn't find it. So I free handed it for now. Thoughts?
Interesting side note, the black undercoat is a different shade of black from the standard pot. Weird right?
And that's all I got done this week (hardly anything I know). In my defense, I got distracted by watching Christopher Titus - Neverlution.

looking pretty cool, I think you could make it look extra chemgog ish if you gave the thing some battle damage, or maybe something that makes it look as though there has been chemdogs crawling all over it, like tools, and sandbags etc to give it real character. nice one dude.
kinda like this
idk that's just how I picture chemdogs and their prized superheavy.

Looks great. Doesn't have to be neat bud, remember that half the time tanks are painted by the crew in the field to match there surroundings, often a tank can have many layers of colour. And considering this will have had the Chemdogs paint it, it will be a rough and ready job anyway, unless there is a Private Picaso Chemdog!
As said I know by the time you weather it up it is going to look brilliant.

Hey guys!
I wasn't feeling the tank this evening, so I decided to work one something else. Many of you might remember this.
Well, I was looking at it a few weeks ago and I decided that I didn't like it anymore. It didn't look good and the proportions were all wrong. So I decided I would do something about it.
I picked up two boards from my local Michael's. I was trying to figure out which to use and then I decided that I would use both.
I put white glue on the back of the smaller one and glued it into place on the other. Then I gathered my supplies.
The pillar from the first diorama.
And bunches of little plaster details my friend Jan, HI JAN, sent me for Christmas.
Then I spent about an hour working on the layout.
Man, look at the detail on these. Jan does good work.
I figured this is where the Imperial Icon would go. With offerings to the left and right.
Look at that, fits like a glove.
Doesn't the priest look right at home in front of it?
Then i added a few more details to the fire.
Here's an overview of everything all glued down.
Here's a close up of the fire.
An a close-up of the front.
Now, I need your help, guys. Tell me where I should put these. Bare in mind I still have about 11 dudes to place in the dio too.

Thanks guys. I plan on watering down some white glue and spreading it around the structure and then coating it in sand.
I live in a desert, shouldn't be too hard to find the stuff.
From there I was thinking about spray coating it black.

Nice looking dio. You can layer up the sand for some interesting effects. Also rather than whole thing black, try washes into the wet sand. Dropper it in. You might be surprised.
