Howdy all!

Apologies, I think this should have gone in the Painting & Modeling Showcase forum...working on figuring out how to move it =)

I finally got around to starting a blog and documenting some of my hobby stuff. As part of a bargain for learning to dance for our wedding my future wife agreed to play a miniature war game with me!! We looked through all of the factions in Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, Warmachine, and Hordes...and the two armies she likes are Sisters of Battle (DOH!) and Retribution. So long story short I'm starting up a Trollbloods army as well as painting her Retribution army.

I thought it might be fun to document my painting and games with her, and since websites are cheap I went ahead and started my own blog at awesomesaucegaming.com!

I've just finished my first project, which was a gaming table for WarmaHordes. Took about 5ish hours and cost $25. I thought I'd share since I'm always on the lookout for cheap ways to make decent gaming stuff. I still need to do some touch ups on the road areas, and it's certainly not what I would call awesome, but for 25 bucks and half a days work i'm pretty happy

You have a beautiful dog, what Kind of is it? Shepherd , golden mix?

Do not kill. Do not rape. Do not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace.
For if you do, one day you will look behind you and you will see us And on that day, you will reap it,
and we will send you to whatever god you wish.

Thank you!

The dog is a great dane named Mouse. He's was a mis-color for the breed so didn't cost the ridiculous sum of money show quality dogs usually do. His tail is the single largest threat to my models! And thanks for the compliments, he's an awesome puppy!

Thank God we got a corgi (Pembroke) - tail is an innocuous nub and anything stored higher than 3' (potentially less, if it's away from the edge) is completely safe.

Nicely done on the table, by the way. Exactly as you've said, it's not an award-winner, but it looks pretty damned good for the time and money spent. Certainly has more character than a grass mat on the dining room table, which likely would have cost the same.
