Hi All, I thought I would share this in the P&M Showcase as it has only really been in my own blog and I would love some feedback on it.

I am very happy with how it has progressed and finished up.

the idea was for a reminder of an ancient battle.... the rhino was knocked out of commission and forgotten on the battlefield.... whatever fate befell the space marines chapter it once served it was left discarded on the battlefield as they made their escape off planet.... Decades have passed and apart from being raided for electronic parts and used occasionally as shelter by poor habitants of the planet, the shell remains.

Would love some C&C or feedback.

Thanks All,

It has a lovely, earthy feel to it MB, as if it has always been there and had grown out of the ground. It actually reminds me of a shipwreck I once saw near thw Greek island of Zakynthos...

Looks sweet. Great terrain piece.. My only suggestions for improvement would be maybe have some more tonal values in your rust/corrosion, and maybe some pitted areas where holes have formed in the shell or the edges have been eaten away. You can do this easily with a dremel and some emery boards, other than that maybe some foliage that has grown on and around it

Looks great, if a bit monotone. The rusting would, I feel, have less of a uniform look to it.

Delightful nonetheless!

My suggestion is more cogs bits of scrap ect. around it, or if the bits box doesn't allow that cut and weather it so looters have stolen bits.

There is not this idea.

It might not fit your theme exactly, but maybe some greenery? A lot of abandoned vehicles start to get things growing in them, after time. Or just a bit more color variety to the dirt around it might make the vehicle pop a bit more.

The rust coloring is very good.

Maybe a minor darkening in the rhino maybe where someone had a fire and small pile of detrus from a camp like a broken tool or such. A rasgged cloth from a cover or a broken pole.

Like a long forgotten nomadic shelter?

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Thanks for all of your comments gents! I really appreciate them all and will take them on board.

It was all done with a homemade "real" rust solution using metal wool and was one of my earlier attempts. Now I try and make a few different shades like some of you have mentioned to try and give a more irregular covering and variety of tone.

Thanks again for all of the comments I really appreciate them!

cheers,
