Just the Bare Metal

I've only recently started this painting lark and I'm currently working my way through a small Harad army from GW's LOTR range.
You're comments and feedback would be very much appreciated

So, here's my first finished model, war mumak of Harad

Next instalment on my completed Haradrim troops.
This time Haradrim raiders

Hope you like them

Amazing! The sandy horses are excellent! Their tone distinguishes them from the background without distracting from the color of the riders.

Thanks adirangan,

These are the first horses I've ever painted. They pretty tricky but I really enjoyed it
More to follow soon, I hope

I think I commented on these over on One Ring, but they are good enough it bears saying twice: Great stuff!

You have indeed been very complimentary over on One Ring, Paradigm.
Thank you again for the kind feedback here too.

First off stunning work here.

I never really looked at the Haram line and you've done a great job on them.

Slightly off topic question but do you think they'd mix well with Tallarn IG? I'm particularly looking at the golden king and the fat haram guards as maybe an Inquisitor and crusaders (Jihadis?).

The Golden King and friends might work as a one-off, but in general, the line is closer to 25mm true-scale and single-posed minis, so you'd have a hard time trying to conver any great volume of tehem successfully. Similarly, there's an assassain model (called 'Hasharin') which could work as a nice Eversor or Callidius stand-in in that style, and is quite large for a LotR mini.

Thanks, I know about the size issue and it would just be one unit. I think the guards look a bit big and the Tallarn are a bit small so it might just work...

Thanks guys
I really like the Haradrim minis and I'm really enjoying painting.

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the other system you referred to, so can really comment.
IF you find they can be used, then I'd really recommend you go for it, as I think they're great sculpts and would love to see more people using them
