So i picked up a bargain wooden placemat coaster thing at a junk shop the other day, because when i turn it upside down it makes a smart display stand for my konrad curze. My problem is adhering his base to the wood, which is varnished. My first though was superglue but i could see that being messy if i make a mistake. I also thought of drilling a hole in the middle and attaching a screw to the underside of konrads base, but before i try anything i thought id ask people here if they had any experience doing something similar, and what techniques/products they used etc?

On the bottom of the miniature base...glue a disk magnet.

In the wood - stick a flat head screw (might need to clip the end off due to the thickness of the wood).

Magnet holds mini to disc, but still is easily removed for gaming (or whatever). Minimal mess and fuss.

^agreed. Magnetize it.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.

Had not even thought about that. Good idea.
