Hi guys,

my wife bought me to Christmas a forgeworld riptide Y'vahra battlesuit which I'm currently painting up

a few questions arose:

It's gonna be a suit with a camouflage pattern, should I highlight the edges or not?

and the second question:
I would like to airbrush a glow effect onto to weapon. is this done after or before applying the camouflage?

Yes, I'd highlight the edges since you didn't do any kind of gradient highlight.

Are you going to wash the model?

I airbrush my OSL last. The weapon glow would hit the model after any dirt, rust, grime or whatever was on the model.

a highlight with white or a kind of grey? A white highlight would seem rather "hard" to me...

A mid tone grey should work lighter than your base grey of course.

I think a white head would look brilliant in this scheme, it's similar to mine to be honest.

Any suggestions (a GW colour would be easier to come by..)?

Dawnstone would be perfect, unfortunately I don't have a Riptide to show you on. The best it can do is this. I have more pictures but they are on my lappy.
