Hey everyone! Here's my first painted Infinity model.
I usually paint 40k, and the learning curve is a lot steeper painting Infinity.
This is the Authorized Bounty Hunter, which I plan on using in my vanilla Haqqislam force.
CC is welcome, but please take into account pictures can't quite get some of what's going on here.
Thanks!

I can see where you were going with the model and its pretty cool.

Moving from GW models is definitely an experience. Lines are different and the over all feel is something you have to get used to (even down to where the light is most dominant on the model).

Add in that it's a smaller scale game and you find yourself wanting to paint all the models to your highest standard.

As to the paint job on the model. I would say overall it looks good. The paint appears a bit too thick in a few places (on the rifle and the open fist but that could just be a lack of detail on the model itself)

Thanks for the input, darefsky.

Yeah, I assure you that's not a case of paint being too thick. There are definitely spots on the model that have a lack of detail and depth for some reason.
An example would be the "mesh" texture on the model's inner thigh; it's so subtle that when even the thinnest coat of paint is applied (after primed), it almost creates a smooth surface, so wash basically doesn't even flow into the recesses.
That said though, Infinity models great to improve my skills upon.
I'm sure that once I get my copy of Angel Giraldez's Masterclass book, I'll be cranking out Golden Demons in no time.

I use washes scarcely at all on Infinity minis for that very reason. The texture is there and it isn't lost with a priming coat (as long as you aren't ridiculously heavy-handed), but washes just don't flow into that shallow detail the way they do on Citadel minis.

If you see on mine, I did pick up the hex detail on that upper left thigh, but it is drifting, no question:

Think for a first mini that is a damned fine effort, looks very nice.

As the guys above me have said the Infinity minis are something of a learning curve, I found I got more comfortable with each miniature I attempted.

As you have said, the small miniature count is nice as you can afford to spend more time on each one, and really make a good job of it.
