Hello,

We are a group of model-builders and wargamers from Finland. Some time ago we hatched an idea for a blog that would serve as an online calatologue of works we have done and also as a tool for all other hobbyists to find out new methods and workflows for painting, sculpting, scale model building, terrain building etc. About a week ago we finally launched the blog, and have been taking pictures and collecting our work on the site. So far it is nothing more than showcase orientated gallery, but be sure to check it out regularly as we add content to it. I will add pictures and news here, whenever we have more to offer.

Our lineup is as follows :

Oakleaf, who is our "grand old meister" and a tutor to us all, prefers scale models in 1/35 scale. He has vast knowledge of techniques that the rest of us take heed from. Below, a closeup shot from his vignette "Noch einmal!" in 1/35 scale

Next up is Anton, who is our FoW guru. He has won many awards with his FoW models and armies, so his work is really worth checking out too. Here is a picture of his winter-themed Tiger 1 E platoon for FoW, 1/100 scale

Immolaattori, or Immo for short, is our "young gun". Allready he has done awesome stuff and managed to win best painted army award in last years FoW European Grand Tournament. Here is a picture of his winning entry

Lastly, I myself post under the name of Panzermonsch, and also love to model the small scale stuff. My main emphasis is also WWII and I have a vast collection of FoW, but I also enjoy scifi immensely and when sculpting my own miniatures, I am mostly working on my 1/100 scale original scifi stuff. I will add a picture of a vignette I did some time ago, portraying my sculpting and paintwork

You can find alot more of our work at our blog, www.achtungpainter.com

As said before, I will update this P&M blog entry when we have new stuff published. I hope that we can help you guys find new tricks for your painting and modeling arsenal, and also that you enjoy our (currently very FoW and wwII centered) works

- Juha

Hi fellas.

A new blog entry, this time about some fundamental modeling and painting basics of FoW scale stuff reflected from my experience with my 2012 painted Totenkopf panzer army

You can see most of the ideas originated from the Totenkopf army aesthetic problems exercised in this blog entry of my more recent work ;
