Cat litter on glue, base layer of latex, layered with many acrylic browns. Still gets another highlight, but what do you, seal this type of table with to prevent wear?

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works. |

That is going to be one DIFFICULT to maintain table.
Cat litter is made to be brittle; to crumble easily.
That is going to make keeping the surface free of grit, and broken cat litter nearly impossible.
Also... Your hands are going to be torn to shreds leaning on that thing.
I speak from experience from building a gaming table that was covered with something similar, but much softer than cat litter (wall aucustic texturing material - it is foam rubber dipped in plastering). Even so.... It was terrifically painful to lean on it to balance when trying to move miniatures.
However...
That said....
The best sealer is going to be either a clear silicon glue, or some form of acrylic resin that is then sprayed with a matte coating.
Polyester resin is another good choice.
Just make sure you get one that sets slow enough to cover the entire table with about 1/32" to 1/16" of the resin before it sets (regardless of the type of resin) to keep flaws and faults in the resin from forming.
When it has cured, go over it with a matte spray sealer to knock the gloss off of it.
You should have one very impressive table.

You could give a run at Future.I would test it. You could always add some matte varnish to it to dull out the shine.

My apologies, I forgot to mention the mix is a third litter to two thirds sand. Possibly important for a foundation for litter.
Edit, also, before the first coat a layer of watered glue was put down to seal litter in.
Perhaps the original post was made a bit quick. She is certainly solid right now, we are looking for no shine paint protection

I suggest a mix of PVA and water. 20% of PVA 80% of water.
Use window cleaner spray bottle and do a few coats in warm room. Wait around 2h between coats.
- First coat,
- Wait,
- Sprinkle little bit of sand (or whahtever you have there),
- Second coat,
- Sprinkle less of sand (or whahtever you have there),
- etc
My Deadzone table required 4 coats. I will update my link with imgur link as soon as possible.
/Sorry for imgur but I write from my mobile.
Cheers.
...and Edit:
So here you go:

What I learned. Sand will crumble. There is no way around it.
I decided to cheat a little.
I took grater and thick cork plate tray, and grated the hell out that tray. Particles created this way absorb that mix of glue and water and they don't crumble. They just stick together.
Surface of that presented table is: wood hard.
Just experiment with glue water ratio, and grater.
Cheers!

Watered down white glue. You can get good stuff for cheap at a hardware store. Do multiple coats.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better. |

I hope it's not trouble but I was looking for a few extra replies.
As of now me and friend are planning a watered down glue solution

If it's not painted yet, use a slightly watered down wood glue like Titebond. That stuff will hold til the cows come home. I have four tables sealed with that stuff and haven't seen a single chip or flake yet.
