Right time to kick it all off!

This is ancient Carvadaras, once Centurion Vardas Krovadak, warden of the realm of Heliosa, friend and advisor to Vulkan himself. He is now only a husk of his former self, finding the dreadnought deshonorable, much prefering a heroic death at the hands of a worthy foe.

Very nice. I just have to ask what is happening with the right eye of the third marine from the left. It appears to be yellow? Conscious choice?

It is a conscious decision, I know the photos aren't great but look a bit closer and you will see flames, it makes the otherwise bland marine stand and it gives him caracter I think.

I've painted up two sergeants for my force.

Ashai Draquoi (left) was a rising star within the ranks of the XVIII legion, having been inducted into the ranks of the legion less than fifteen terran years ago, and untill, the Istvaan atrocity, was destined for greatness. His current fate his unknown, he was last seen with Raven Guard forces thirty days after the initial dropsite massacre.

Soulkor "Ironhide" Garn, was a Terran born legionnary, he quickly took to the Promethian cult, and the doctrines of the newly reformed XVIII and rising to the rank of sergeant in less than one Terran year, old be human standards, he proudly fought for the honor of the Emperor and his Legion on the black sands of Istvaan, he is presumed slain.

I have a question, if anyone could help me out I would be grateful! Did the Terran Legionnaries, have the same dark flesh as the Legionnaries from Nocturne?

Salamanders should be smart enough to wear helmets, so I don't think that skin color would be an issue.

I think the terran's were also jet black/onyx coloured (going from other threads).

The models look nice, but the pictures could do with some better lighting. The over-exposed lighting makes it hard to make out the depth of the colors.

It looks like it was nocturne that changed the skin colour through radiation, so any terran marines post unification with Vulkan would be black, and any salamanders that had not visited Nocturne, i.e. pre unification, would be white.

The black skin comes from an interaction of the Salamanders' melanochrome organ and Nocturne's radiation. So it really comes down to the question "has this Terran Brother of the XVIIIth been to Nocturne yet?" Considering you're going with the post-Vulkan Salamanders look (as opposed to the preceding Saturnyne Ram XVIIIth Legion), it's most likely all members of the XVIIIth had traveled to Nocturne, so I'd say black skin is more likely.

Thanks for all the feedback! I will go with black skin, or if I find a appropriate helmet that fit the theme of the mini. And I am sorry about the photo quality it's the best I can do for now, I will try and sort something out in the near future!

Vulkan is on my to do list (or buy list as it were) but my list of stuff to do is quite substantial at the moment, but he is coming, soon.

Hey Dakka! I have assembled and primed nine tactical marines. I aim to get them done in the next one to two weeks (here's hoping!)

Also, I tried to fix the photo issue, it's not perfect but it is a improvement, I will try taking photos in daylight when I have time.

Regarding the Centurion if you have any cool ideas about, fluff, names, backgroud, I would love hear to it!

The models are looking good, but as others have mentioned, maybe a bit too much light/exposure to really see the details. That last photo has a slightly more pressing issue, though
