Hello,

This is my first time posting on this forum as well as my first finished model for my BA army.
I have chosen to stray away from the striking red that most Blood Angel armor has seeing as this is a vehicle.
I am open to constructive criticism as well as hints/tips/tricks that can make things easier on me
(it took me a total of 10 hours to paint everything other than the chassis...).

Thanks in advance!

Nice job. Is this your first ever model kit though - you've picked out some of the detail well and suggests experience elsewhere. Only thing it may be worth looking at is highlighting a little bit.

Keep going though, your army's going to look good if it stays at this standard (or above)!

GW - 670 pts || - 354 pts || - 46 pts || - 106 pts || LoTR - 400 pts (Evil) vs 0 pts (Good) || Space Hulk - 1/35 || Deathwatch Overkill - 0/50
Other MEdge: Karists - 23 points || Epirians - 0 points Shattered Earth: Awaiting delivery "Awakening" Terrain: Awaiting delivery DWMG2: 4/54

I didn't mean to mislead anyone; I painted the DA from the Dark Vengeance set (horribly).
I consider this my first project because this is the first time I ever put some real time into painting a model (10 hours as opposed to 30 min).
I have the Sons of Sanguinius book and spent a lot of time sitting in GW stores watching people painting;
if I have any experience it's purely from watching, although I appreciate the complement.
I'm honestly terrified of highlighting because of how easily I can mess up my model, but I'm sure I can find a good tutorial on this site .
I will have more to upload eventually, it's nerve-wracking when I paint, so I chose a death company to do next. I figured it would be
easier to colour black over black if I make a mistake XD.

I wasn't suggesting that you misled - more an observation. You picked out detail well considering an early stage of painting these figures. You have clearly picked up a lot from watching others - well done!

I actually wondered whether you had been painting cars/planes/boats/Sci-fi models for a while prior to moving into 40K. That's what happened with me.

Highlighting is something I dread quite a bit too, but practice makes perfect

That's some pretty awesome painting, considering you're so new to the game. Highlighting the red is your next step going forward, time consuming but worth it.
good luck, and keep painting.
