Believe it or not this is actually the first time I've completed a box of something before getting distracted. Stuck with my red/black/gunmetal/hazard stripes theme and I think they look sufficiently chaotic while still looking like they belong together when grouped. I actually feel I got significantly better at painting between the first Nob and the last. Made bases out of sculpey using a diamond pattern mold.

I'd still like to give them some sort of protective coat but I'm nervous - last time I tried to apply a matte varnish I ruined my paintjob. I'll have to look into it a bit more. I might bore some holes for the gun barrels, too. Actually I don't sound very done, do I? I'm mostly done.

I think I'm going to keep painting Orks and growing my horde. I need to keep my momentum. Suggestions on how I can improve?

Looking good. Yeah, I'm a fan of drilling out the barrels. I just use my hobby knife. And for the topcoat, use Testor's Dullcoate. Works great.

'Straya... Mate.

Great colour scheme and painting techniques used. Very impressed.

Looks good. If you don't want to risk spray varnishes, Vallejo has a brush-on matt varnish that works very well and I hear it's fairly tough for a matt varnish (gloss varnishes are supposed to be tougher, so traditionally people apply a gloss coat then when it's fully dry matt it down).

Thanks very much, guys. I was considering maybe repainting them in the future but I think I'll keep them the way they are as a reminder of how far I've come...assuming I ever get better! Working on Boyz now so I'll have plenty of practice.
