I've decided to make my own Blood Angels successor chapter, the main reason for this is, as a Dungeon Master of D&D and someone with a vivid creative imagination, I want to be free of the shackles of a pre existing faction and be able to create my own characters, history and fluff for them. I will be keeping the paint scheme rather close to Blood Angels chapter, with a few exceptions.
I'm just getting started and so far I have everything that came with the Deathstorm Box to start out my Blood Angels force. I've decided to have a crack at the Terminators first of all.
Though my Blog will be the first place to keep track of any updates, I'll try to post on here also.
Here is an extracted post directly from my Blog at
Project: Sanguine Hammer
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. First of all, let me introduce myself, My name is Mike, aka @MijMike.
(Or on Dakka Mij'aan) I write for Red Barrel Gamers, broadcast on Twitch and spam Twitter quite a bit, in case you wanted to find me elsewhere. At 27 years old I'm a full time worker, husband, father of two. I am an enthusiast of all kinds of gaming, from tabletop war gaming, pen and paper
RPGs, to all sorts of other bits and bobs. I own Tau, Tyranid and Chaos Space Marine armies, and now I've delved into Blood Angels. Sadly I have very little time to sit and paint my miniatures like I used to. I'll hold my hands up and readily admit that I'm a novice painter, I have several friends who are far better than me but that isn't going to stop me from doing what I enjoy. They won't appear professional, but they will be mine!
So what is "Project: Sanguine Hammer" you ask? At the moment it's the project name for my Blood Angels successor chapter. Until now I haven't decided on a chapter name and this one is the most fitting, though it is possible it could change in the near future. I've also decided to name my blog after my little project. I'm going to be posting regular updates regarding my new chapter, along with some other things. Not only will I be painting and building the miniatures, but I'm going to craft a 'fluff' background for the chapter and I'd appreciate any input on this. I'm sure I'll have plenty more for you soon.
