As the title states, I was wondering if anyone has tried this before. I normally use regular Krylon flat black, but my local Wal-Mart had this the last time I was in.

Grey primer is fairly popular in miniature painting circles, for creating a mid-tone that both light and dark colours paint over well. Just do a quick google for 'miniatures grey primer'. Don't see much Krylon over here but I've seen it recommended, and I've used Halfords grey primer. Even cheap no-brand stuff is recommended (like QAR says, primer's primer) so Krylon can't be too bad!

I've never used that, unless they really really changed their labels.

I've used regular Krylon Grey primer and regular Krylon Black primer and they are great. I've never seen a Krylon grey primer like that before. And it talks about rust protection and max coverage... but the normal one is more than fine IMHO.

Here is a link to a pic of the Krylon Grey I have used:

I've never used Krylon grey, but as a rule, I avoid grey primer because GW plastic is most often grey, and it's sometimes not obvious where I missed

When I want to prime something grey (for instance, rocky fortifications), I will usually hit it really thinly with black first, then again with grey, just to make sure I got everything.

I almost never use grey primer, but when I do I use it I use the rust-oleum light grey primer. But usually I like to stick with GW chaos black (ITS SOOOOOO SMOOTH)
