Hello again, I've started doing commission painting again, and as I can't just paint, I tend to add at least a little sculpting or conversion work to everything. Mostly I do useable army stuff, although I'm not really that into painting mass amounts of tiny troops, so my clients tend to let me do their tanks, or monsters or characters...models that will be a centerpiece type thing but still not meant to sit on a display shelf so much as kill things on the miniature battlefield.
First up is a Space Wolves Pred. The client had already assembled it, and carved some runes or something on it, and he did a really solid job of magnetizing the whole thing, so that he could play it in any configuration. It was really great to work on since it had been assembled so cleanly and magnetized so well, I just had to do a tiny bit of putty work around some magnets but that was just so that I could have some unevenness to chip the paint on. As usual though, I couldn't leave it alone so I sculpted up a wolf head autocannon using a thunderwolf head and some milliput/greenstuff mixed up.
All in all a fun little quick project thanks to it already being well assembled, for a very cool client who let me name the tank and freehand on it. Hopefully it will kill many many plastic and resin cast overpriced GW miniatures and bring his wolves much glory.
I give you Doomhowl...
