Hi guys. I need suggestions on some paint shelves that will hold both Army Painter and GW paint pots. Ive seen some nice ones in older posts where you guys showed yours off and Ive sent out some private messages but havent heard back yet so maybe the rest of you can help. The shelves will need to be large enough to hold lots of GW paint and lots of Army Painter Droppers and a few others like Vallejo as well. It cant cost an arm and a leg as Im on a fixed income. Im also in the US so ordering anything overseas just isnt worth it in the long run. I know Citadel has the new Project Box but there isnt enough room to hold my paints plus it wont hold my dropper type bottles. If you guys have any suggestion please let me know and drop me a line with a link to pictures or the website of the company. Even if its a do it yourself thing Ill be happy. I just need more room that my paints taking up. Thanks guys.

If you're on a budget, I suggest spice racks -- they come as tiered shelves and work quite well. Or, of course, you can make your own.
All of the prefab ones I've seen are relatively expensive.

Thanks Talys! I never thought of spice racks!! Do you have any idea where I might find some of those carousel type paint racks? Ive seen a few in some of the posts here where people posted what their workstations looked like but I cant find any online

I made mine from about 15 dollars of material from home depot and an afternoon of work. it will hold several different kinds of paint , and I would guess a couple hundred bottles sorry for the sideways pick. Iphone and all.

Acrylic nail polish racks. Look on Amazon. Holds GW, PP, AP and more. Different sizes and great prices.

Are you looking for a desktop or wall-mounted rack? I picked up a pair of cheap and reasonably attractive (faux wrought iron) metal spice rack off Amazon for the wife and grabbed a second for myself. It mounts on the wall and each tier (there are three) can hold one row of large bottles (8oz Liquitex/Golden mediums, 16oz IPA in the rectangular bottle, etc.), two rows of Citadel pots, or three (slightly staggered) of Vallejo/AP droppers. That's 54 GW pots in a 12"x15" (a little under 3" deep) space with plenty of clearance between shelves, for easy access.
If anyone is interested, I can see if I can dig up a link. Been a while since I bought them, though, so no promises.

I went with three of these, didn't want a wall mounted rack:

Currently I need something that will sit on a desk or table top. I love all the suggestions. I mainly use GW paint right now but I do have a good bit of Army Painter and Vallejo paint in the droppers.
Killa_tomatoes: Man I like that shelf! Im pretty good with woodwork so I might look into doing something similar when I finally get moved into my "Man Cave" LOL. How easily do you think it could be converted into a standing shelf instead of wall mounted if it were shortened quite a bit?
Jack_Death: Do those hold GW paints?
Oadie: Id be interested in that link if you can possibly dig it up. If not its no trouble.
I like the looks of those Wartrip501! I may have to try a set for that price. About how many pots do you think will sit on that?

I don't have any GW paints to try out at the moment. I am going to pick up a few to try out this weekend and I'll post the results when I have a chance. They are perfectly sized for Minitaire, if that helps.
ETA: added a pic with the paints I have stored (Minitaire and Vallejo)

The shelf actually is standing on the floor , it would be very easy to make it whatever size you wanted. The dimensions of mine are based on what was precut at Home Depot .

May have been a sale, as they're also sold through Walmart for the same price. I may also be mistaking a sale price for what I actually paid per unit, due to the fact that I ordered two and received three.

Mindrek. How are they quality wise? GIve us a review of them if you don t mind. If I were to get anything it would cost an addictional $40 just to ship to me. Are they worth it?

I built my own rack (for lack of anything within budget that was decent)
Its made of a couple lengths of white shelf boards, and a couple meters of 32mm waste pipe. Holes Vallejo Bottles ~ I got 200 similar sized bottles form China and move any paint I want into those that doesnt fit the rack. ~ Only really the texture paints and dry paints I didnt change bottles on.
Overall cost of rack was approx £30 and an afternoons graft putting it together.
