So I recently acquired one of these from my buddy jason (an00bis). Decided to try and kit bash it into a count as xiphon.

Still a bunch of work to do to it but it's coming along.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Rather expensive kitbash, eh?

Think it would have made a good counts-as without cutting it up, to be honest.

Wing span is too big IMO.

Got some more work done on the xiphon. I really like the minigun on the front, give it an a-10 vibe. Added a tail section to the back to help hide the warped fuselage.

Don't know why but those little additions to the ends of the wings really help this out! Liking where its going for sure!

Slapped some paint on it. Got a chance to take it out for spin in 30k and it did not disappoint. I'm really stoked on how it came out, it looks and plays like an A10. Fun stuff. The small wingspan can be forgiven, it's not like marine flyers are notorious for their superior aerodynamic design. With jets protruding out of the side of the engines it looks like it could alter it's flightpath quickly. It's a shame the cockpit plastic/resin isn't terribly translucent. Either way I don't terribly regret painting the techmarine or the controls but I intend to just glue the canopy on for fear of losing it. The good new for anyone who likes the look of this and wants to make something similar, the only bits I used outside of the fw kit are the engine piece from a stormraven and a couple of lascannons. The kit already comes with two . The only other thing I added was the etched brass inquisition symbol. Anyway, here's to owning the skies

Looks really nice. I just couldn't bring myself to buy & chop up such an expensive kit tbh.
