Looks nice, but might I suggest breaking up the gold on the chest eagle with a wash and some highlights, that should really make it "pop" and will draw the eye in to the centre of the model.

Brown washes like agrax earthshade work wonderfully on golds and then highlight auric armour, if you want a gleaming gold look then a thin line of mithril silver (or whatever the lightest silver is now for GW) on the very top of the edges will really make the gold shine but otherwise the model looks nice

Did you know? Every sunday from 12 to 5 pm you can get a carvery for £6.95 at the pudding and pye.

Oh seems that the photo quality is stealing your glory then :-)

Sepia is a good wash for gold, as for what kind of gold to use I would recommend a brighter shade than the basecoat, depending on if you are going for a old or new gold look.

Furthermore, if you paint maybe a little bit of silver on the outermost edges of the feathers, that should make it look a bit like it's catching light.

ill try and build a white background and get better pics for this, the gold i did with mournfang brown (instead of warlock bronze), balthazar gold (or gehennas... the red yellow one), wash in sepia and a touch of aurelic after....
