I think the Ironstrider Cavalier formation is the best in the new Skitarii book. Ironstriders are much more valuable within this formation than within the Maniple Detachment, because they already have Crusader and don't need Scout. So can we combine these with Imperial Knights to make a viable all-walker army?
That's three Cavalier formations, each with two units of single Dragoons (some with Phosphor serpenta) and one unit of two Ballistarii with lascannons. Maybe autocannons would be more effective, but I wanted to keep the model count lower because the retail price for this is already $1,008. That cost for 15 models is a good reason not to play this list, but are there any other reasons? What's a hard counter?
Looks solid. I would go with Autocannons freeing up enough points for 2 more Ballistarii as you have anti high AV covered by the Knights, or an entirely extra Cavalier through dropping the Serpentas. However I understand those decisions where made from a model cost point of view, so not much to change then.
