When I started Warhammer late February I wanted to have an Imp Knight army. However my wife and friends wanted me to build a cheaper army so I could play sooner, that was my "still not finished and now has be postponed for Knights because you can't stop the heat" Iron Hands. Well after a getting a new job and finishing my first knight I Just started ordering more stuff.

I even started making a custom carrying case for them too!

I'm not much of a blogger however because that mean less time assembling and stewing about for ideas, so my pictures might be a little redundant.

Update on my Acheron Knight.

Finally got the body the way I want it, the castigator pose was the dash, this one is kind of a drifting stop after a dash.

Due to the stance of the model and my overwhelming urge to make sure it's feet stay on its stand; I went and made a new base for it out of laminate flooring board.
The base in about 9 1/2" long by 4 1/4" wide as opposed to the stock 6 3/4" long by 4 1/4" wide base.

Most of the pose's effect in going to be reflected in the base, please look forward to it sENpAi...

You really are going to town with these poses! Very effective it is too!

The nights are looking great, I like the drop pod as well is that going to be a showcase?

The drop pod is mainly going to be my carry case, I was thinking about making sleeves for my knights so that I can make the inside of the drop pod look decent without sticking foam everywhere to protect my figures.

I'm still up against the wall about whether or not I should go ham on the pod since I'm going through the trouble of making it to begin with. I get ridiculously eager to get stuff done and that hurts the quality of my projects, I think I will take my time and try to make the case look legit. But the means I have to chop the top and make them into fins that can articulate side to side, that and make some mock gas pistons for them as well. Perhaps I will play my first game before I resume that project.

Just finished adding some gold to the acheron before I get into painting and weathering it.

Soooo... I need an opinion sENpai, is this a good touch or a bad touch?

I got to thinking, "How can I enhance the look of high speed motion?" Then I thought,"What makes a Knight look like a Knight aside from shining armor?"

Then it hit me... CAPES! I mean all the cool kids have them! So this is my first attempt to make a cape for my sliding acheron well my first attempt ever to sculpt something like this. Good Touch? Bad Touch?

So after a days work this is what I came up with, the cape is growing on me...

This is also my first attempt at weathering, many firsts on this Knight.

It works. I like the cape. Put capes on EVERYTHING.

I finished sculpting my base for my Knight Acheron!

Finished the base today! I hope this one gets voted up IMHO it's better than my castigator but only because I've improved on techniques I was learning on the castigator.

I'm always trying to adopt new methods and improve the ones I currently employ.

NOTICE ME SENPAI!!!

So I was watching troy (the one with that Brad Pitt dude playing Achilles) where he fights that other guy both with spears and a shield. I wanted to replicate that ferocity in my lancer.

I changed the angle a little bit to give it a better feeling of motion and slap a little anime coup de grace kind of feel.

I need a cheap something for my base because I want it to look as if it is jumping over a freshly slain foe. But if anything I'll probably make more rocks instead.

I feel it needs a cape... lol... I wish I could make a larger base like my Acheron but it's feet don't touch the ground so I have no reason to. What should I put for the basing? Needs something to jump over. Or just some indication that something that massive is making a high speed aerial move.

Still got the LEDs to put in the eyes and shield needs some paint, the spear still needs the point done I'm thinking of a Lightningish dragon. I tried to base this off the FF14 Dragoon but since the spear is a shock lance i figured make a lightning version of the dragonfire dive... sorta... within titan reason. I think there is a bit too much gold and the colors could be darker, I'll try slapping more orochi violet wash on it se if it will darken up more.
