So a few WIP progress sternguard thread, 2 done so far, a Sgt with sword n Combi Plas, and the newest Brother, Combi flamer with new Mars Technical paints.
so without further ado, to the pictures of the honorable brothers in ceramite.
im not the greatest painter but quite a step up from my previous 5, can be found on my created threads if anyone is bothered.

The top base is roofing slate, two fragments from a broken off cut when we did the shed. Seems to work out.
Its abit flat but right bits look right.

Ha! Excellent to see another player on a similar painting path I took (mine was with Black Templar).
I would suggest for the metallics using those fancy washes, it will make them look... better, more defined and smoother.
Metalics are rather jarring when they get thin in spots or not fully cover a surface, it is just the nature of the darned paint.
Try edge highlighting in top edges and corners with lighter metallics to add a little more realism.
Well detailed, and carefully painted... well done!

Yep, I have the proper upgrade kit too, defenitly worth the extra purchase.
I have the full army painter sset. From soft to dark and colours, the terminus is metal + blue for example.
Yeah metallics are difficult, there trickey to say the least. Never found a silver that's quite bright ernough at times.

a few more ive painted, not perfect, and yes odd mould line, but im happy with em so far.
