Hey guys!

Here's my tweaked version of the Chaplain in TA I've submitted earlier this week!
Thanks a lot for the comments and criticism, it really helped me give this fella a little more depths!
Big shoutout to SRSFACE on DAKKADAKKA & porthoscrx on Reddit.
(Storm bolter still not drilled! I REALLY need to get one soon haha)

Most likely done with this guy, but criticism and comments always welcome!

Enjoy~

Overall he's painted to a pretty good standard. To be honest, the first thing I thought when I looked at the photos was that the easiest thing you could do to improve on him is to drill the barrels on the storm bolter, but then I went back and saw you already mentioned it. So in summary, I agree.

The one thing that bothers me is that his storm bolter casing is such a bright yellow. Its really stark and only blends with his shoulder pad, not worth it IMHO.

Happy wargaming,

The colours are neatly applied, but he looks kind of unfinished.
Here's a few things I think you could do to add to it:

1. Highlight your metals and then give them a wash, currently they look excessively shiny and lack definition
2. Your gemstones appear to be one colour + a white dot.there should be more gradation in there going from dark to light. Here's a useful tutorial for painting gems:
3. Highlight the red shoulder pad
4. Choose a different colour for the storm bolter casing, at the moment it's very incongruous.
5. Tidy up the highlights on the black.

You've got your basics down, you just need to take some extra steps.
