Found a deal today to good to pass up and got a load of Epic and a bit of BFG along with some other miscellaneous things. Most of the epic is orks with a sprinkle of marines, so i had to paint one up.
First time working at this scale, I'm pretty happy with it but am always open to C&C.

Yeah its 6mm.

6mm is actually pretty easy to paint. there isn't a lot of detail to worry about. Paint the main colors and the to a wash. then pick out a couple high lights.

I think you did a pretty good job on that bike.

Thanks, it was quite a pleasure to paint as like you said minimal detail to worry bout. Which was a nice break from the space hulk minis.

Thanks all nice to hear I still have some skill after a years hiatus.

After trying without sucess to sleep I decided to finish up the other bike and a rhino. Also started working on a base for the bikes.

Again sorry for the quality were getting ready to move so all I got is my phone camera

This topic convinced me to get off me backside and look at my own Epic stuff again. Although that finally convinced me to sell most of my SM stuff for some of the great proxies out there. Keep an eye on the swap shop.

I will have to dig my Epic Stuff out.

I have only used it for laying Epic 40K once, when I re-bought it again in the early 00s (they were the first minis I bought after having mine stolen).

I have a ton of IG, and a few Orcs and SM painted (but not quite based exactly for Epic (My bases mostly just have four soldiers mounted on them, so they can be used with another couple of sets of rules - Dirtside and Striker).

But I have done a LOAD of Conversions.

I turned all of my IG and SM bikes into Speeder-bikes, and I armored up my land speeders. As well as creating a lot of Squad-support weapons (many of which I need to repair now).

But I went crazy with buying Epic stuff, and now have around 1,500 IG, around 300 Space Marines, 500 or so Orks, and about 250 Tyranid Termegants and other "lighter' Tyranid troops.... I think I have some Eldar as well.... I know I intended to sell them, but don't recall if I did.

OH! And they are not all painted, but I have around 2 Companies of Tau Firewarriors and Accompanying Stealth Suits. I really want to get them painted, to use them against my IG.
