I like it, it's simple yet well executed.

What I would say is that a coat of gloss varnish followed by matt varnish will take the shiny outline off of those transfers and help them look more natural.

"Do you have a map of the cat?" - Richard Feynman

How to paint Skeletons the way I do if that's something you'd fancy trying.

I love the raptors colour scheme, dont know much about them in the fluff, but it always fills the militarized modern day feel that I like that the cadians suck at doing.

Very nicely painted, and also very simple, nothing over the top, just basecoat, wash, highlight, and looks very good.

As said above, something could be done about the transfers. I personally don't use transfers (all my DE are freehand) so I cant help much in that area.

overall amazing job, happy wargaming,

-Mikey

Thanks guys! Tried adding more varnish to hide the decal glare but no change :( I think it may be due to the fact i had to flip the decal to make it face the correct direction. Shame really as normally a coat of dulcoat hides all decal film.

Did you do a gloss varnish before you laid the decal down? To prevent silvering, you need as smooth a surface as possible so try following something like this: gloss-decal-gloss-matte. Using a decal solvent (MicroSet/Sol, Vallejo Decal Fix, Mr. Mark Softener, etc.) will help as well.

Good job on the dreadnought! I love seeing Raptors get some well deserved attention.

Thanks! I didn't put down a gloss surface first, I normally find my normal method of using the micro set and sol and then a matte varnish works great, guess this is just an oddity. Im about to paint up a raptors drop pod too so will see how the decals go there, if the same thing happens again ill have to start glossing the surface first as you suggested.
